An announce on UUL - National Museum of Art, Seoul

Last Sunday in the areas near Samcheon-dong you could watch some curious performance. Young guys was putting off their shirts in inside the box with letters "UUL" on the surface. It seems that an advertising campaign for the new National Museum of Art has been started.

This museum will be a part of National Museum of Contemporary Art, which is situated in Gwacheon. As the director of construction operations Kang Seung Wan told, the name "UUL" refers to the pronunciation of "Seoul", but also is similar with Korean word means "we" ("uli/uri"). Therefore, it reflects the conception of "The Museum which is always near by you".

So far, it looks attractive and sort of close to mass culture. All a huge fence around future museum's territory is painted by words "Museum is getting naked", "It's open for all" and corresponding pictures.

Anyway, as I saw, museum's construction is just on the process of making a basement. Let's wait untill the end of 2013, when it's planned to be finished.
