The Court Painters of Jeoson Dynasty at Leeum


Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art is just great in making temporary exhibitions. Each one is brilliant. This time it shows paintings of the Joseon Dynasty royal palace's painters collection called Hwawon. You can see the masterpieces made by order of royal family, which show us historical persons and events; many of non-official painting, such as landscapes, portraits of buddhist immortals, animal paintings and even some erotic paintings are also showed.

As a museum of Samsung company, Leeum uses some kindes of new visual technologies to provide a comfortable opportunity of watching pictures for visitors.

All the fruits of Korean traditional painting are collected on this exhibition, nd if you think that Eastern paintings is something boring, this exhibition will precisely change your opinion.

Directions: Hangang-jin st., line 6, exit 1. Turn to the right on the first crossroad and walk up the hill for 5 min.
Entrance fee: 7,000 won
